BC Society of Model Engineers — Burnaby Central Railway

The BC Society of Model Engineers designed, built and operates the Burnaby Central Railway with over 2 miles of 7.5″ gauge track located in Confederation Park. There are 13 raised parallel steaming bays with 8 additional roundhouse bays. There are eleven 60′ sidings (ground level).
BCR operates three battery-powered miniature electric and diesel locomotives, as well as a gas powered hydraulic engine.
The most prized engines are four hand-crafted steam engines: each locomotive has been built from drawings, patterns and castings, and then machined, fabricated, into a finely detailed 1/8 scale miniature of the full-sized prototype
