USA / CANADA BORDER CROSSING
If you are coming from Washington State, please allow time for the border crossing. If you have a NEXUS pass, the wait time will most likely be relatively short. If you do not have NEXUS, the crossing time can vary considerably.
There are two crossings at Blaine
– Peace Arch (Hwy 99, I5)
– Pacific Highway (Truck) Crossing (Hwy 15, Hwy 543 Exit of I5)
Local’s tips
– South bound, waiting trucks can block the entrance to the NEXUS lane. Often better to use Peace Arch when south bound with NEXUS. Otherwise it is a crap shot re which crossing has the shortest wait.
– South bound, stop at Edaleen Dairy in Blaine for great ice cream and some train watching on the BNSF line between Seattle and Vancouver.
