Workshop Overview
The advent of static grass has transformed our ability to make great model railroad scenery. The principle is simple, and relatively easy, but many modellers struggle to get their applicator out of the box. If you’re one of those people, then this workshop is for you! If you’re not one of those people with a static grass applicator languishing on the shelf, tick the box on the registration form, and we will order an inexpensive, but serviceable unit for you.
Either way, you’re going to need a static grass applicator because this is a hands-on workshop!
What will you take away from the workshop?
- Each of you is going to turn a piece of board into a small meadow.
- You’ll learn how to prep the field so it doesn’t end up like a lawn, how to apply grass in multiple layers for depth and variation, and how to add weeds and flowers.
- By the end of the workshop, you’ll be ready to turn your Plywood Pacific into Saskatchewan!
What to Bring
- Leave your fancy gown at home so you don’t get glue on it.
- Bring your own applicator or we’ll order this beauty for you.
What We Will Provide
- We’ll bring the board, glues, grass and weeds.
Cost
- Basic Workshop – $8
- Including the optional Static Grass Applicator ($30) – $38

Number of Participants
