Description
On-board battery power removes dependency on track power. Neil will discuss the S-CAB system that performs on-board battery charging and is safe so long as LiPo cells are not connected in series. S-CAB’s electronic voltage conversion providing regulated, higher voltage loco power from a 3.7 volt LiPo battery is unique.
On-board battery power reduces maintenance and eliminates problems caused by intermittent wheel-rail electrical contact.
