About
Meet My Layout is an opportunity to share your layout or other large project in one of two formats.
Short Form: 4 or 5 photos and a point form description as part of the Meet the Modeller session.
Long Form: A virtual layout tour presented as one of the in-person clinics.

Meet My Layout is a way to share what you are doing with your layout without hosting a layout tour. It is a great way to introduce other modellers to what you are doing and in so doing make connections with others with similar interests.

When
Short Form: scheduled as part of the Meet-the-Modeller session.
Long Form: scheduled as part of the in-person clinic schedule.
(See the meet schedule for details).

How to Participate – Short Form
Drop an email with 4-5 photos and a short, point form description (cover things like your name, the project name, scale) to the Display coordinator. We will assemble the submissions into a presentation. During the Meet-the-Modeller session, you will have an opportunity to introduce yourself and your project to the assembled group in a 4-5 minute window. Overviews of works in progress are as welcome as finished projects!

How to Participate – Long Form
Contact the Clinic Coordinator by email to outline your idea for a presentation of your layout. In the past the most successful layout presentations consisted almost entirely of photos (organized within a Powerpoint presentation) combined your in-person commentary during the session. This keeps preparation to a minimum — i.e. less work than a clinic. Such Layout Presentations should be no longer than 45 minutes and can be much shorter. If video clips are incorporated, they work best when they are kept very short.
