Description
This clinic will walk you through the process of using your photos of locations or online downloaded images, and free AI software and standard PC software to transform them into backdrops of any size and scale that can be sent to your local print shop. The end result is high quality backdrop that you can install on your layout that represents the location and era you are modelling.
Dave’s interest in backdrops was created by his indoor G scale layout that needed 140 ft of backdrop in 1.25 scale. With nothing available in the market, Dave learned by trial and error how to create custom backdrops using the techniques he will describe in this clinic. He also worked with his local print shop to find the most cost effective print solutions.

About Dave
Dave started with his first layout in O scale at age 5, graduated to HO at age 14, went to N scale at age 18, onto G scale outdoors at age 43, Virtual scale at age 55 and G scale indoors at age 63. Dave is currently modelling the Nakusp and Slocan Railway circa 1906 indoors in G scale.
