The Railway Modellers’ Meet of British Columbia is held every year to advance the practice of railway modelling in British Columbia by providing a forum where model railroaders can meet and exchange ideas with their local, regional and national counterparts and in so doing enrich their involvement in the NMRA and SIGs.

RMMBC will be back in 2027!

As in past years, RMMBC will be held in May and will feature all your favourite events:

  • Online Kickoff – a set of online clinics presented in advance of the in-person meet.
  • Clinics – a set of in-person clinics held on the Saturday and Sunday of the weekend.
  • Operating Sessions – two sessions of operating on local layouts.
  • Layout Tours – self-guided tours of a variety of local layouts.
  • Model Displays – a chance to share what has been on your work bench this year.
  • Meet the Modeller – a session for modellers to describe their modelling project.
  • Manufacturers – meet local manufactures that bring value to our hobby.
  • Meet My Layout – short, pictorial overviews of layouts.
  • Meet Up – a chance to get together with other modellers to debate/discuss modelling.
  • Workshops – hands on modelling in real time — do a project while you are at the meet.

RMMBC 2026

RMMBC 2026 returned to the SFU campus last May. As the 7th Division’s principal event aimed at modellers it was a big success with over 100 participants, 6 online clinics, 16 in-person clinics, 3 hands-on workshops, 13 operating layouts with sessions over two days, 3 layouts open for tours, and an open house at the BC Society of Model Engineers.

Once again many friendships were renewed and new friendships begun.
