The Revelstoke Roundhouse and Diorama Project By Doug Mayer
The Roundhouse at CPR’s division point of Revelstoke stood for over 75 years. The clinician will speak to the history and use of the roundhouse and its associated buildings and provide brief comments on approaches to modelling such a complex. One example will be the approach used by Brian Pate who has donated his unfinished rendition of the facility to the Revelstoke Railway museum for public display. Many modellers have already signed up to help complete the diorama however one or two key volunteers are still required. The clinician will outline the outstanding work and will lead a discussion on ideas to make this project a reality. Attend this clinic if you are interested in the prototype, or similar engine service facilities, or if you have modeling skills which you can contribute to the diorama team
