Dealing with Decals By Timothy Horton
Applying decals to custom painted models is an important facet of railway prototype modelling. This clinic will review the tools and supplies required for decaling, and will illustrate practical methods and tips for the successful application of water slide decals to railway models.
Biography Timothy Horton has been modelling the British Columbia Railway in N Scale since 1983. He has written seven books on the railway's history, equipment and operations. His N Scale layout depicts the Dawson Creek Subdivision in 1977 and was featured in Model Railroad Planning 2009. Much of the equipment in operation on the layout has been painted and decaled to depict prototype equipment from the era. Decaling is an important facet of prototype modelling, and is the topic of this afternoon's clinic.
